Shawn D. Lovings received his Bachelor of Arts from Jackson State University in Advertising & Communication with a strong emphasis on the Arts. Mr. Lovings has a profound gift of socialization and communication and is wholly committed to providing individuals and teams with comprehensive strategies in support of business goals and objectives. Along with an affinity for great ideas suited for the entrepreneurial environment in which small businesses operate; Mr. Lovings has a sincere zeal for client care and service.
In 1999 Mr. Lovings entered into the publishing industry as an Account Executive with Upscale Magazine where he managed six (6) states comprised of Advertising Agencies and Corporations; as well as successfully managing a number of ad placements and co-branded marketing programs. With the decline in the advertising business after the devastation of September 11th , Mr. Lovings made the decision to begin his own company in 2003 making him the CEO and Founder of Core Consulting and Marketing Group (CCMG), bringing with him an impressive list of contact and clients such as Gallo Winery, Moet Hennessy, Jack Daniels, General Motors, Lincoln-Mercury, Images USA and Black Entertainment Television (BET). Being the driving force behind the development of CCMG’s objectives, policies, and initiatives for short and long term goals; Mr. Lovings also handles the role of General Manager for one of his clients, Uptown Magazine for Metro Atlanta, directing brand management, business development, image consultant, wardrobe consultant, marketing, sales, and circulation.
As an entrepreneur, Mr. Lovings also takes the time to be a substitute teacher for the Clayton County School System which enables him to stay connected with our community’s most precious commodity, our children, staying current with their thoughts and ideas in order to effectively guide and mentor. One of the ways he carries this out is by his own personal style and promoting the importance of a professional image. As the winner of the 2006 Best Dressed Man in American for Esquire Magazine, Mr. Lovings uses this accomplishment as a tool to guide young adults to recognize that style does matter in a business environment.
Mr. Lovings is faithful in giving back to the community he is Co-Founder of My Style Matter Inc. Where he is teaching kids about the importance of Etiquette. The Art of Etiquette is a specially designed etiquette course created by our co-founder Shawn Lovings. As a renowned entrepreneur, Shawn knows an education in manners and social skills gives kids a leg up in life. To work toward that goal, he partners with Atlanta Public Schools and other organizations to make this a reality. The program teaches etiquette for kids while also incorporating artistic instruction. Mr. Lovings is volunteers his time to Hands-on Atlanta and Hosea Feed the Hungry. He is also the Marketing and Advertising Director for KingStreets, LLC, an economic community and human development web portal which provides references, resources and support to everyone as well as an active board member of Mothers Rebuilding Atlanta and a Fundraiser and Sponsorship Chairperson for the National Black Arts Festival which is a perfect fit for Mr. Lovings who truly loves and appreciates the Arts.
